I was first introduced to yoga whilst studying for a degree in English Literature and have been practicing ever since!
Yoga has had such a beneficial impact on my physical and mental health over the years that, on moving to Devon from London, I decided to take my practice to the next level and began training with Andrea Durant (BWY Foundation Course) to deepen my knowledge. This was followed by an Independent Yoga Network 500 teacher training with The Devon School of Yoga.
My approach to yoga is relaxed and light-hearted. Classes always begin with a period of stillness and relaxation to settle the mind and breath before moving on to a flowing sequence of postures which are held long enough to increase strength, flexibility and balance whilst calming the nervous system through breath control. We always finish with sivasana – a period of complete relaxation!
Barefoot Physio is a welcoming space where I am able to offer smaller sized classes for those who prefer a more personal atmosphere to a gym environment.
