The therapeutic practice of Acroyoga (referred to as ‘Lunar Acroyoga’) includes:

  • Thai Yoga Massage
  • Suspended therapeutics (aiding the ability to let go and be supported)
NOTE this involves a base (the person supporting) and a flyer (the person trusting and letting go)
  • Strength and confidence building for basing as well as learning sequencing and transitions
  • All the points mentioned above combined with listening skills, trust, use of body weight and gravity as well as some light traction and harmonics to aid release of tension
  • And, of course, Yoga”

Penny rediscovered yoga a few years ago enjoying the benefits of Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa especially. Her 500 hour Teaching Diploma is with the Devon School of Yoga and the founder Duncan Hulin.

She experienced Acroyoga for the first time two years ago and fell in love with the practice. Intensive training is essential to teach Acroyoga so she enrolled with  Acroyoga.Org earlier this year and will gain her full qualification in early 2018.

In the meantime she constantly enriches and develops her practice and teaching by attending various training events across Europe with innovative, highly respected teachers. She co-teaches with Jules Yount who also trained with  Acroyoga.Org. Together they teach the balance practice between the Solar (acrobatic), Lunar (therapeutic) and Thai Yoga massage. Acroyoga has provided her with a supportive community throughout the world and she loves to share this with everyone willing to breathe and trust.
